Greeff grew up in Johannesburg and initially focused on sports. As a teenager, he showed little interest in the arts. However, everything changed at age 16 when he discovered drama at Helpmekaar Kollege, an Afrikaans private school. [1]

Under the guidance of his drama teacher, Samuel Ferreira, he developed a passion for acting. He gradually moved away from rugby and committed to the stage. He later matriculated in 2013.

Greeff began his professional acting career soon after finishing school. He quickly proved his versatility across television and film.

He made his television debut on the kykNET soap opera Binnelanders, where he played Krige Vos. Shortly after, he secured a starring role as Tommie Bekker in the sports drama Getroud met rugby. These roles helped establish him in the local industry.

At the same time, he explored film. He appeared in Verraaiers (2012) and later starred in the surfing drama Die Pro (2015), where he played the antagonist, Dustin Jackson.

His breakthrough came in 2020 when Netflix cast him in Blood & Water. He portrayed Chris Ackerman, a pansexual student navigating identity and relationships. This role earned him widespread praise for its honest and nuanced representation of the LGBTQI+ community.

He continued to expand his portfolio with roles in Legacy, where he played Ben Hugo, and in the detective drama Recipes for Love and Murder as Regardt Snyman. [2]

In March 2026, Greeff surprised many fans by stepping away from long-form acting. He cited a desire for personal growth and a more stable lifestyle. As a result, he shifted his focus to real estate, where he now buys and flips properties.
