Dumisani Mbebe was born on 21 September 1974 in Nqamakwe, specifically in the village of Guvana in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. Growing up in a remote rural area, he experienced limited access to healthcare facilities.

Consequently, he was born at home because the nearest hospitals were far from his village. From an early age, he developed a passion for storytelling. In particular, watching cowboy movies as a young boy sparked his interest in acting and inspired his future career path. ^[1][2]
