Early Life and Education
Kimberley Richard was born as Kimberly Chigubu on 21 September 2001 in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. She grew up in the KwaNtuthu Ziyathunqa suburb and is the only daughter in a family of six children. [2]
Her father, Richard Chigubu, inspired part of her public and stage name, “Richard.” She attended several schools in Bulawayo, including SOS, Bulawayo Adventist School (BAS), and Townsend High School. [1]
After completing her secondary education, she enrolled at the University of Zimbabwe, where she studied Political Science and Diplomacy. [2]

Modelling and Beauty Pageants
Kimberley began modelling while studying at university. Her rise in popularity accelerated in 2020 when she was crowned Miss UZ First Princess at the University of Zimbabwe. During the same period, students also voted her the institution’s Most Influential Personality. [3]

Her breakthrough in mainstream entertainment came through music video appearances. In 2021, she featured in the music video for Boi Boi by Jah Prayzah, which significantly boosted her public profile. [3]
