Mpumelelo Mseleku (born 3 March 2001) is a South African reality TV personality, professional footballer, and aspiring polygamist. He is best known as the first-born son and heir of businessman Musa Mseleku. He became famous for starring on family reality shows such as Uthando Nes’thembu and its spin-off, Izingane zeS’thembu.

Mpumelelo Mseleku was born on 3 March 2001 in Port Shepstone. He was born into a wealth family of Musa Mseleku and his second wife Nokukhanya “MaYeni” Mseleku. Mpumelelo is the first born son of Musa Mseleku. He was raised in a polygamous house hold, something that has influenced his approach towards relationship.

In 20223, when he was 22 years old, it was reported that Mpumelelo had two girlfriends at once, a move which signified that he will become a polygamist like his father. Musa’s intention of entering into two relationships was to start a family not to play around.

“I got an opportunity to showcase what I do. How to structure polygamy and make people understand that you don’t start polygamy when you are old. You have to start it now and grow with it to understand the dynamics. It’s not forced. It’s something I was raised in.” He said in an interview with TshisaLive.

Relationships and Fatherhood

Mpumelelo Mseleku dated multiple girlfriends at once and those girls were aware of it. He stated in one of the interviews with TshisaLive that he learn from his father to ” always be truthful, humble and respectful”. Which means Mpumelelo must be transparent to her girlfriends if he dating more than one.

His first known relationship was when he dated Vuyokazi Nciweni from 2021. The same year, he announced his second girlfriend, Tirelo Kale. The two girlfriends were fully aware they were dating him with an intention of becoming his polygamous wives. Unfortunately, in July 2023 his polygamous ambitions were shuttered when Vuyokazi Nciweni left the relationship, stating, she felt unworthy and miserable.

In July 2025 Mpumelelo Mseleku paid lobola for Amahle Biyela. He celebrated that he was not boy anymore. Initially, his intention was to pay lobola for Tirelo Kale. Unfortunately, Tirelo’s family rejected the lobola citing that their daughter was still young and in school. When, Mpumelelo paid lobola for Amahle, Tirelo wasn’t happy about it and considered leaving the relationship, stating she wasn’t informing about her becoming his first wife. In 2026, Mpumelelo and Tirelo are still not married, however Tirelo remains his long time partner.

Mpumelelo Mseleku has got four children. He had his first child with Vuyokazi Nciweni, daughter Mhlophekazi, in May 2023. He welcomed his second child with Tirelo, namely Singabakho Mcebokayise Nhlanganiso Mseleku, who was born on 16 June 2023. Later that year, he welcomed his third child, but second child with Vuyokazi Nciweni.

In January 2026, Mpumelelo welcomed his fourth child with Amahle Biyela.

Mpumelelo attended Port Shepstone High School. He studied at Boston Media House, where he graduated in 2019. Besides television fame, Mpumelelo pursued a professional football career. He played in the junior structures of Moroka Swallows and made his PSL debut in the DStv Diski Challenge in 2022.

Entertainment and Business

Mpumelelo became a central cast member on Izingane zeS’thembu, a show that follows the lives of the Mseleku children. Apart from reality TV, he also works as a DJ and music producer. Recently, he returned to the house music scene with a single titled Idlozi. Furthermore, Mpumelelo is involved in business ventures. He owns a security company called Sbindi and has also developed water purification products.
